There is a cosy dining room, seating approximately thirty persons. Meals may also be taken in the small, friendly bar which has an open fire. The emphasis is on wholesome home cooking with a tempting range of starters, main courses and puddings. There is a choice of vegetarian dishes and a children's menu - child portions of some dishes may also be available.
Food is available throughout the day ranging from snack and toasties, to a full evening meal. Fresh local produce is used wherever possible and top quality fresh meat is from our local butcher. Fresh fish is purchased in Oban. All the pub favourites as on the menu such as haddock and chips, homemade steak pie and curry, with the blackboard showing daily specials. A typical menu consists of:
Freshly ground coffee (including espresso and cappucino), tea and soft beverages are always available. A selection of reasonably priced wines, including wine by the glass and an excellent choice of bottled and draught beers are on offer. There are also more than enough malt whiskies to allow you a different dram every night of the month!
It is not necessary to book but it can sometimes get busy in peak holiday weeks and weekends when booking may be advisable to avoid disappointment. Booking is particularly advisable for larger parties - we are just a wee place! We look forward to welcoming you whether it is for a meal or just a drink and a bit of crack! Please note under Scottish law smoking is not permitted anywhere in the premises. There is plenty of safe smoking area just outside the front door. |
